Stackup goes live on Polygon 🚀
Everything you need to know about our first mainnet release!
It’s been a minute since our last post but a lot has changed since our initial testnet release back in November 2021. But the first and most exciting news is we are finally live on Polygon mainnet! 🚀🎉
Although we have a lot left to do, we invite everyone to give our alpha release a go at app.stackup.sh or learn more at stackup.sh. Feel free to also drop us a line on discord, twitter, or e-mail if you had any feedback. Your opinions go a long way in helping us build a more accessible and effortless web3 experience.
So how do I use this thing?
Easy!
Create a wallet on app.stackup.sh.
Click on the “Deposit funds” button to load up on USDC or transfer some in from anywhere else.
Immediately access the entire Polygon ecosystem through wallet connect or start sending payments to any other account.
Notice how you didn’t need to jump through a bunch of hoops and spend 100 hours figuring out this crypto thing?
Where is this “seed phrase” everyone keeps talking about?
You don’t need to worry about it since we built a lot of magic ✨ (i.e. technology) under the hood so you can keep everything that makes seed phrases great while getting rid of the bad parts. For instance, you still get ownership and interoperability but with a significantly reduced risk of losing your account through social recovery.
What about “MATIC” and “gas fees”? We still need those right?
Nope! At least not by default. Our magic ✨ again allows you to interact with the entire crypto ecosystem using the dollars in your wallet to pay for fees. Just like everything else you pay for in your daily life.
This is my first time in crypto, what can I do?
Great question! Crypto has a tonne of great dApps (decentralised apps) that are built to empower the individual. We built this wallet to make these awesome innovations more accessible and effortless for everyone to use.
Not satisfied with interest rates on your bank account? You can use Stackup to deposit your money into Aave for a better yield.
Centralised exchange fees too high? No worries, connect to Uniswap and buy those coins at the best price available to you.
International payments too long and cumbersome? All good, just send payments from Stackup that will settle in seconds for a fraction of the cost.
And if going bankless isn’t your thing, you can also ape into some JPEGs on OpenSea too. 😎
